Bud HansonBud Hanson has spent over 20 years in the world of marketing. Most of those with a Fortune 100 company working on very large consumer brands. But over the last 10 years he developed a passion for building brands through the strategic and tactical use of experiential marketing practices. He knows traditional marketing well and has several degrees and years of experience to back that knowledge up. But what he really enjoys is taking unique non-traditional approaches to connecting with consumers.

In 2004 Bud formed Fish-On Marketing. A consulting agency dedicated to providing leadership and guidance in the exploration, execution, and strategic alignment of experiential marketing efforts resulting in engaging and memorable connections with target consumers. In other words, “We’re pretty good at coming up with that WOW idea that helps you break through the clutter and connect with your target consumers…and ultimately sell more stuff.”

“One thing I’ve observed is most marketing tends to be too focused on the product. Utilizing mass “push marketing” vehicles to tout product features and benefits are all traditional tactics that used to work with traditional consumers. But consumers buy based upon emotional not rational thinking. Brands and business that create an experience around an emotional connection with the consumer will win”.
